照我看来,一副头脑发育到了研究生阶段,在它行将成熟定型之前,其实正面临着一个相当关键的坎儿,只有想方设法在一个非常迫促的限期之内突破和超越了它,学生的思力才能获得飞跃性的提高,从而在创造性方面发展出基础人文研究所必须的超常素质。否则的话,不管此后多么忙忙叨叨庸庸碌碌,亦终不过只能人云亦云或小修小补而已。正因为这样,又鉴于语言的边界恰是思维的边界,就需要在观念上非常坚定地明确:在提高研究素质的此一紧要关头,受教育者不管可以学习和利用多少种外语,都最好不要长期远离自己存在的家园——母语。
