Shingles is an acute herpes dermatitis caused by the chickenpox-shingles virus. We treated 20 patients with shingles with intravenous drip and conducted a controlled observation. The summary is as follows. 1 General Information All cases were selected from hospitalized patients from 1998 to 2000, with typical clinical manifestations diagnosed as shingles, except for impaired renal function.
