中华民族史的研究始于 2 0世纪初 ,1 92 1年初版的常乃著《中华民族小史》堪称研究中华民族历史的开山之作。 2 0世纪三四十年代 ,中华民族史的研究引起了学者们广泛的关注 ,相继出版了一批研究成果。比较著名的有王桐龄著《中华民族史》(1 93 4)、郭维屏著《中华民族发展史 The study of the history of the Chinese nation began at the beginning of the 20th century.
