One afternoon in winter - the sun did not rise that same day and the moon did not fall for six consecutive days - I stood on the sea ice about 20 miles off of Mamenjiao, the kings of the island. The sea ice in the Hasseen Strait is not without characteristics, but there are no signs of serious distortions on its surface, unlike the ones seen in the Lincoln Sea and other areas. The water flow is relatively flat here. In the nine to ten months when seawater is frozen, the sea ice under my feet hardly sloshes. Looking to the south, you will see a thin layer of canopies of purple and dark blue that intersect with the horizon at an angle of 80 °. However, almost no reflection of these colors of ice, the moonlight is full of pale blue. Visual distance of two or three miles; but dim
