Composite resin materials are widely used in the restoration of dental defects due to their good aesthetic effect, easy operation, insulation to temperature and maximum retention of healthy tooth tissues. However, due to polymerization shrinkage occurs when cured, the composite resin and the tooth to form a few microns between the edge of the crack, that is, the edge of micro-leakage, resulting in filling failure to repair. Marginal microleakage is more likely to occur due to less enamel at the gingival margin due to type Ⅴ defects in the dental neck. Microleakage is a complex process of multifactorial interaction, and there are many reports about it. In this paper, reviewing the relevant literature, we review the various factors that affect the microleakage of Ⅴ-type composite resin filled cavities in order to provide reference and help for clinical practice.
