Objective To compare the diuretic effects of water extracts of green tea, oolong tea, black tea and Pu’er tea. Methods Four kinds of aqueous extracts of tea from rats fed with 0.5 g.kg-1 and 1.0 g.kg-1 of saline were intragastrically administrated. The urinary excretion of Na + and K + in urine were measured at 4 h. Results Compared with the model control group, 4 kinds of tea water extract could significantly increase the urinary excretion of urine and the amount of urinary excretion of urinary excretion of 4 h, but the urinary excretion of urinary K + The K + excretion in urine of rats was significantly increased by the aqueous extract of black tea, while the water extract of green tea and Pu’er tea had no significant effect on K + excretion in urine. Conclusions All the four kinds of tea water extracts have significant diuretic effect. The diuretic effect of Pu-erh tea is similar to that of hydrochlorothiazide, but there is no significant effect on urinary K + excretion, which can avoid common side effects of thiazide diuretics - hypokalemia Occurrence of disease, is a kind of healthy diuretic tea.
