This paper discusses the basic principle of heat insulation with aluminum foil and the calculation of the R_k value, and proposes a reasonable thickness value of the adiabatic air-space layer of the surface-mounted aluminum foil. The physical properties of aluminum foil and the factors affecting its ε value were analyzed, and the application of aluminum foil insulation material in solar buildings was discussed.
