Experience from the research and development of internal combustion engines shows that ensuring the reliable operation of crankshaft bearings is one of the major tasks in engine mechanical part design. Therefore, the method of calculating and evaluating the working ability of such bearings is an important part of the developing system of internal combustion engine automation design. When calculating the relative motion between a crankshaft and a non-steady crankshaft bearing, one has studied the instantaneous equilibrium state of the crankshaft (Figure 1) under the influence of the total vector of external forces directed to the center of the crankshaft and the hydrodynamic reaction force balanced by it.
