For a considerable part of shrubs, pruning is to prevent branches from growing too densely under natural conditions. If the shrubs as part of the fence, the more dense the better, if planting isolated specimens or planted with other plants, the stem is not crowded is appropriate. Reducing the number of right straw can also improve the look and feel, and perhaps improve the leaves or increase the flower. In fact, sparse deletion is the most common way of amenity pruning so that pruning can make plants more pleasing in the garden. The age of the branches can be estimated by the thickness, color and characteristics of the bark. The new branches are finer, greener, smoother and the bark thinner than the old branches. On the contrary, the real old branches appear sturdy, thick, bark wrinkled, brown or gray. These traits vary by breed, but a little experience quickly identifies new and old branches.
