The Canterbury Tales is one of the most important works of Chaucer, opening the humanist tradition in British literature. However, the research on this work mostly focuses on the story of Mrs. Basf and others, and studies the humanistic spirit embodied therein. This article chooses the knight as one of the representatives of the Middle Ages to make an analysis of the people-oriented spirit demonstrated by the two knights in the Canterbury Tales for fighting bravely for love, including compliments on the harmonious relationship between man and nature, The affirmation and appreciation of the value reveal that the poet not only mastered the great times of the times but also the times, reflecting the poet’s profound insight into society and the accurate understanding of human nature.
