To find suitable indicators of enterovirus and parasite contamination in drinking water, the authors selected three water treatment plants in Montreal to collect water samples for etiology (human enterovirus, Giardia cyst and Cryptosporidium oocysts) and possible indicators (Escherichia coli phage and phage, Clostridium perfringens) analysis and determination. The collected untreated water samples and sediment after the clarified water samples each 100L, filtered water samples and water samples for each 1000 ~ 2 000L.
