目前江苏地区使用的小学英语教材在高年级学段增加了Culture time文化版块,五六年级四册书共有24条文化知识供学生了解,每单元的Culture time一般与其他版块,尤其是Story time版块的语境相关。建构主义的教学观强调以学生原有的知识、经验作为新知识的增长点。教学中,教师可在学习Story time的基础上,进行拓展学习。例如五年级上册Unit 3 Our animalfriends的Culture time中介绍不同国家的珍稀动物:You can see pandas in China./You can see bald ea-gles in the USA./You can see polar bears in Canada./You can see kangaroos in Australia.本单元Story time
At present, primary school English textbooks used in Jiangsu Province have added Culture time culture sections to upper grades. There are 24 pieces of cultural knowledge in Grade Five and Sixth Grade Books for students to understand. Culture time per unit is generally in line with other sections, especially the Story time section Contextual relevance. Constructivism emphasizes on students’ original knowledge and experience as the point of growth of new knowledge. Teaching, teachers can learn Story time based on the expansion of learning.
