锏:中国古代一种手执短柄打击兵器,形似竹简,故原称为“简”。锏源于铁鞭类兵器,使用方法类似,用铜或铁制。区别是锏身无节呈四棱形,顶端无尖。锏的最早实物,是发现于福建的宋代著名抗金将领李纲使用的铁锏,长90厘米,锏身错金篆书“靖康元年(1126)李纲制”在古代文献记载中将领用锏作战的年代要更早些。《宋史·任福传》中就有“挥四刃铁简,挺身决斗”的
