一、教学目标
1. 知识与技能
(1) Improve the reading and speaking skills.
(2) Master some important words and phrases.
Important words:Christmas, lie,novel, dead, business, punish, warn, present, warmth, spread.
Important phrases: think of, true meaning of, the importance of, think about, care about, the ghost of, used to be, end up, take sb back to, remind of, wake up, find out, in need, true spirit of.
2. 能力目标
培养学生阅读能力及良好的阅读品质,能自己读懂文章并完成相关习题。通过阅能,积极思考和推理字里行间所透露出的信息以及作者的意图。
3. 情感目标
指导学生通过阅读文本,明白圣诞节的真正含义是把爱和快乐分享给我们周围的人,学会用善良和热情对待身边的每个人,向世界传递爱与欢乐。
4. 过程与方法
采用分层阅读法和文化渗透的方法,引导学生积极参与阅读活动,通过对中西方文化的比较及渗透,提升学生理解力。
二、教学重点
指导学生阅读技巧,深刻理解文本含义,提升阅读思维能力,感悟文本渗透的情感。
三、教学难点
通过背景知识、深层阅读理解西方节日圣诞节的真正含义和圣诞节带给人们的启示和快乐。
四、教学过程
Step1. Leading in
Show a picture of Christmas and ask the students to say what festival it is? And let students say something about it. Then according to what they say to have a mind map about Christmas. According to common things,lead the symbols and spirit. Expect them to find the information after the first reading.
出示圣诞节日的图片,让学生回答什么节日?并说说他们知道的信息,教师根据学生表述date, food, gift, Christmas tree, Santa Claus等,板书Christmas,和学生一起完成简单的思维图。(通过头脑风暴,让学生的注意力马上集中到圣诞节的话题,谈及他们知道的common things并且引出本节课主旨symbols和 spirit,期待孩子们在初读文本时获取信息)
设计说明:(通过对图片的感官认知,让学生回忆圣诞节的活动,板书活动内容,交流圣诞精神,形成阅读期待。)
Step2. Skimming
Ask the students to read the passage quickly and find the spirit in the first paragraph, underline some difficult names and Christmas ghost. Teacher can explain them to students so that they can understand the passage easily.
让学生快速阅读文章,发现圣诞节的symbols或spirit,并划出一些专有名词,教师进行适当解释,帮助学生了解相关背景,降低阅读的难度。(学生会在第一段找到圣诞精神,通过勾划专有名词Charles Dickens,A Christmas Carol, Scrooge, Jacob Marley帮助学生理解文章,如the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come可以帮助学生理解故事,如可以帮助学生梳理三个圣诞精灵的事情)
设计说明:(通过快速阅读,让学生找出文本的中心意思,大致了解圣诞节并且思考文本所讲的圣诞节和他们眼里的圣诞节有什么不一样,激发他们更深层次阅读的兴趣。)
Step3. Scanning
策略:教师提醒学生关注本课的阅读策略,要求学生在阅读时思考和推理字里行间所透露出的信息以及作者的意图。
1. Read the first and second paragraph to answer the questions in 2b.
2. Read the third paragraph to answer the questions in 2c and then have a simple retell to each other.
3. Read the fourth paragraph to answer this question.(What does Scrooge decide to do after seeing the three ghosts?)
設计说明:(通过分层细读课文,了解文本信息,掌握文本渗透的基础知识及西方文化知识,深层理解圣诞节的真正含义及精神。)
Step4. Reading and practicing
Ask the students to look through the passage again , then find the answers in 2d ,The teacher can help them to finish them together.
设计说明:(让学生浏览2d的习题,带着问题再次阅读课文,培养孩子寻找答案、推导答案的阅读习惯,并能组织正确的语言进行表达,提高阅读效率。)
Step5. Homework
1. Read the passage aloud and try to retell it.
2. Share the passage with their family.

本节课是一节阅读课,它的最终目的是让孩子们明白圣诞节的真正含义是把爱和快乐分享给我们周围的人,学会用善良和热情对待身边的每个人,向世界传递爱与欢乐。所以,笔者以培养学生的阅读兴趣和情感教育设计了本课,其目的也是让孩子们通过对本课的学习领悟并懂得分享的意义和快乐。
