静载荷试验是桩基承载力测试方法中最为可靠的一种测试方法。自平衡试桩法是一种设备简单、测试方便的一种静载试验方法。双荷载箱测试技术是利用自平衡测试方法的本身特点,采用两个荷载箱分别安放在桩身的不同位置来满足特殊工程试桩要求的一种方法。基于双荷载箱的测试技术,在特殊情况下对某些重要工程的试桩进行了测试:包括大直径超长桩注浆前后承载力的测试,人工挖孔扩大头桩忽略扩径部分侧阻力的承载力的测试,软岩地区深长嵌岩桩忽略上覆土层的承载力的测试以及桩长优化设计等。这种测试方法能结合工程的实际情况,根据上下荷载箱不同的加载次序完成试桩的测试工作。该技术可以解决传统的静载荷试桩方法无法解决的问题,为工程的实际应用提供了解决问题的途径。
