In 2015, a number of hot words emerged around the movie industry, such as IP and Internet +. These words are trying to describe the Internet and the movie industry in order to build a new path to media reform. However, judging from the discussions held by the industry and academia in 2015, this new path based on the Internet is not yet clear enough to answer the questions of how to understand this reform and how to carry out this reform. Starting from these two issues, the author interviewed the new Film Alliance Pictures Co., Ltd. General Manager Zhou Tiedong. Zhou Tiedong believes that from the history of the world’s film industry and the exploration of developed countries, the Internet should be the downstream of the movie industry, which is determined by the movie industry’s rules. At the same time, there is nothing but a capital speculation about the IP fever in 2015, which is not good for the development of the movie industry. No matter what the times, the reform and development of the movie industry should respect the laws of the industry, rather than being compelled by the concept of capital speculation.
