The population structure and renewal mechanism of Pteleopsis suberosa seedlings in four roadside environments (graded areas, nearby areas, middle areas and non-graded areas) were investigated along paved roads and unpaved roads. 203 square plots of 2m × 5m were surveyed along the parallel lines of the roads, and the total number of seedlings and the number of live branches of each seedling in each quadrat were recorded. The update mechanism was identified by assessing the base and horizontal shoots and digging underground roots. The results showed that the total density and individual density of single trunk and multi-trunk seedlings had significant changes (p <0.05) in four kinds of roadside environments. All seedlings are asexually breed, root out of 98%, sleep buds and sprouting of about 1% each. Studies have shown that disturbance of medium level soils in paved road and unpaved roads can stimulate the regeneration of Pteleopsis suberosa roots. The type of pavement (paved and unpaved) has no effect on seedling density, but the P.suberosa population The type of road is an important variable for its ability to germinate. P.suberosa is a disturbance-tolerant species which, after being disturbed by the road network, can multiply by rooting.
