党的十五大以来,在以江泽民同志为核心的党中央的正确领导下,经过各级党组织的共同努力,干部队伍整体素质提高,结构不断改善。截止2001年底,全国共有各级各类干部4051万人。其中,机关干部693.2万人,占干部总数的17.1％;事业单位管理人员和专业技术人员2112.1万人,占干部总数的52.1％;企业单位管理人员和专业技术人员1245.7万人,占干部总数的30.8％。
Since the 15th CPC National Congress, with the correct leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Jiang Zemin at the core and with the concerted efforts of Party organizations at all levels, the overall quality of the cadres has been improved and the structure has been continuously improved. By the end of 2001, there were 40.51 million people of all kinds and cadres at all levels across the country. Among them, the number of cadres was 6,932,000, accounting for 17.1% of the total number of cadres; 21,121,000 were managers and professional and technical personnel of institutions, accounting for 52.1% of the total number of cadres; 12,457,000 were enterprise management personnel and professional and technical personnel, accounting for the total number of cadres 30.8%.
