The current dilemma facing China’s “cultural studies” is not just a matter of which case studies and theoretical studies are more important. Therefore, we should not only seek breakthroughs in the academic system and disciplinary system, but also explore in depth the political self-awareness and cultural identity of cultural research groups. The pioneers of British cultural studies are brave enough to proceed from their own struggles and class experiences and critically re-examine the elite British mainstream cultural and political traditions, learn from the bottom of society the vitality of their minds, and clarify their own political and cultural positions. Thus, in the academic thinking And political practice in two areas to achieve a breakthrough. China’s cultural studies practitioners should overcome the constraints of institutional and disciplinary system of the college, actively intervene in the real political life, pay close attention to the emerging popular culture movement, pay attention to the cultural rights of the disadvantaged groups and consciously assume the responsibility of “critically acclaimed organic intellectuals” Social responsibility so that we can keep the academic and political life of culture research in a vivid relationship of mutual promotion and mutual dialogues and strive to establish a more prospective political horizon for our cultural studies and outline a more theoretical analytical framework for penetrating theories.
