全世界每年有近4.5亿人发生工伤事故或遭受职业病的折磨,最终导致220万人丧生。这是国际劳工组织在2007年4月28日“世界职业安全与卫生日”公布的数字。国际劳工组织的报告表明,由职业事故和职业危害引发的财产损失、赔偿、工作日损失、生产中断、培训和再培训、医疗费用等总经济损失约占全世界生产总值的4%。
Nearly 450 million people are injured in work accidents or occupational diseases in the world each year, resulting in the death of 2.2 million people. This is the number published by the International Labor Organization on April 28, 2007, “World Occupational Safety and Health Day.” The ILO report shows that total economic losses such as property damage, compensation, lost working days, production disruptions, training and retraining, medical expenses and other expenses caused by occupational accidents and occupational hazards account for about 4% of the world’s gross domestic product.
