为满足提高类大学英语课程的弹性教学要求,多元化的大学英语高级阶段的教学呼应加入创新意识、创新思维和创新(或研究)方法的更加适合高级语言课程的教学图式体系的建构。以西方弹性认知图式理论为指导建构的英语修辞图式突破了文体学修辞格的狭义概念范畴,贯穿作用于语用类提高课程如词汇学、高级口语与写作等教学过程,以语言交际输出的有效性与恰当性为教学宗旨,提升学生的语用能力;并在赏析类提高课程的教学过程中如西方经典戏剧文学赏析,从冲突美学角度引导学生深入鉴赏西方文学,提升学生文学研究与探索的能力。
