In the recent Soviet literature reference is made to an unusual type of rare metal deposits that are rarely known in Western countries and are therefore worth describing in simplified English. The mineral deposit discussed is a fishbone layer that is rich in fish debris and is considered a potential source of uranium. The location did not reveal. Genesis was briefly described in the recently published uranium textbook in Kotlyar. Some supplemental information on the same type of deposit is also presented in Borisenko’s book on the geochemistry of scandium. In this review, it is assumed that the two authorities described the same uranium-containing construction.
