儒家的积极入世促使了刘勰的“树德立言”，儒家学说的经典相应地成为《文心雕龙》理论体系构筑的枢纽。孔子编订的“五经”在刘勰的眼中成为众体之源；孔子的人本主义思想及文质观等融进了《文心雕龙》创作论部分；孔子所强调的文艺功利主义思想又直接影响了刘勰的文学评论。可见，孔子及其代表的儒家的文艺思想对刘勰写作《文心雕龙》产生了重大影响。
The active participation of Confucianism prompted Liu Xie’s “Shu De Liyan” and the Confucian classics accordingly became the hub of the theoretical system of “Literary Heart and Carving of Dragons”. The “Five Classics” formulated by Confucius became the source of the whole body in the eyes of Liu Xie. Confucius’s humanism and the concept of quality were integrated into the creation theory of “Literary Heart Carving Dragons.” Confucius also emphasized the literary and art utilitarianism directly Influenced Liu Xie’s literary criticism. Thus, Confucianism and Confucianism represented by Confucius have had a significant impact on Liu Xie’s writing of “Literary Heart Carving Dragons.”
