1965年2月我们到湖南省湘阴县关公潭人民公社巡回医疗,根据队部的安排,除了一般巡回医疗工作外,还逐步开展了常见疾病的手术治疗。从2月底到6月初,在3个多月的时间内,我们在当地卫生所临时建立的一间简陋的小手术室内进行了数百次外科、眼科和妇科手术,其中外科手术约180次。初期仅施行了切开排脓、皮下小肿瘤的切除以及简单的痔瘘手术,随后逐渐开展了疝修补、阑尾切除、腹膜后脓肿切开引流、深部较大肿瘤切除、复杂的肛瘘切除等手术,效果比较满意,为当地农民解决了不少病苦。通过这一阶段的实践,我们对在农村开展外科手 In February 1965, we went to the People’s Commune of Guangongtan in Xiangyin County, Hunan Province. In the initial stage, only the incision and excision of the pus, subcutaneous tumor resection, and simple fistula surgery were performed. Later, hernia repair, appendectomy, retroperitoneal abscess incision and drainage, deep larger tumor resection, and complicated anal fistula resection were gradually performed. The results were satisfactory and solved a lot of problems for the local farmers. Through this stage of practice, we have carried out surgical hands in rural areas.
