Japan’s bioenergy research has been going on for more than 20 years. The work is mainly focused on the production of energy organisms and the conversion of bioenergy. The work is manifested in the following four aspects: (1) studies on novel vaporization systems that produce methanol in organisms; (2) co-cultivation of bacteria that occur naturally And specialized enzymes to break down cellulosic and hemicellulosic biomaterials into ethanol; (3) biofilm technologies for the separation and concentration of ethanol produced in biofermentation; (4) livestock manure semi-solid methane fermentation system the study. In Japan, rice husk, straw and rice bran are the main living resources, and these rice residues are often considered as the main source of bioenergy utilization.
