The three methods of collecting the infraorbital sinuses, tail vein and heart in female Sprague-Dawley rats affected the parameters of the seven blood tests and the parameters of the seven clinical chemistry tests. The number of red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin and hematocrit measured by cardiac blood sampling was smaller than that of the other two blood sampling methods, and each test parameter had a statistically significant increase except for the number of white blood cells. The mean values for lactate dehydrogenase, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, r-glutamyltransferase, and creatinine measured on cardiac blood sampling were greater than those measured on the inferior infraorbital sinus and tail vein blood sampling. For each of these parameters, there was a statistically significant difference between the infraorbital sinus blood sampling and the cardiac blood sampling. In addition to lactate dehydrogenase
