Objective To investigate the impact of complications of “neglecting diabetes” in pregnant women on maternal and perinatal children. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 42 cases of neglected diabetic patients treated in our hospital from January 2010 to December 2011 and compared with 206 pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) during the same period. Results ① Compared with GDM group, the number of natural GDM group decreased, the number of cesarean section increased, the P values were less than 0.05 and <0.01, respectively; ② The complication of “neglected GDM group” Such as hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, polyhydramnios, premature rupture of membranes and fetal distress cases were significantly higher than the GDM group, P <0.01; ③ “ignore the GDM” group the total number of perinatal complications Higher than GDM group (P <0.05). Conclusions The timely detection of GDM and the control of blood glucose to maintain normal levels are the key to reducing maternal complications and reducing the prevalence of perinatal infection.
