唐卡,是一种将宗教图像绘制在布、绸、纸或各种皮质上,再用彩缎织物装裱后悬挂供奉的卷轴画,具有鲜明的民族特点、浓郁的宗教色彩和独特的装饰意味,被藏族人民视为珍宝。藏族唐卡艺术作为藏传佛教传播的一种载体、一种宗教艺术,具有鲜明的民族性、区域性等多种属性特征,是藏族特定社会、历史与文化的产物。
Thangka is a scroll painting of religious images drawn on cloth, silk, paper or various cortex, and then hanging and donned by colored satin fabric.
