晚清之世,西学强势东渐,遂与中学发生冲突。探析这一冲突过程,可知其并非中学一味被动抵御、以至部分被动接受的过程,一如传统观点所言。其实为一被动抵御、主动接受西学普世性价值内涵、中学经过了强力冲击之后走向文化自觉相交织的过程。这一过程的史实昭示:先进性文化的融合,乃是人类文化发展的大势所趋及根本路径。其中,并无本土和外来之截然对立。这一截然对立仅仅是情绪化和自卑情结质的假设,构成文化认知的普遍性误区。
In the late Qing dynasty, the western school became more powerful and gradually clashed with middle schools. By examining this process of conflict, we can see that it is not a process of secondary defensive passive acceptance and partial passive acceptance, as the traditional view puts it. In fact, a passive resistance, take the initiative to accept the universal value of Western connotation, secondary schools after a strong impact on the cultural interwoven process. The historical facts of this process show that the integration of the advanced culture is the fundamental trend of the general trend of human culture development. Among them, there is no diametrically opposed local and foreign. This diametrically opposed is merely a hypothesis of emotional and inferiority complex, which constitutes a common misunderstanding of cultural cognition.
