Through portraits and ethical admonitions, political brochures, travel books, personal diaries and other works of art, portraits of modern British aristocrats can be clearly seen in the conflicts between luxury and simplicity, masculinity and practicality. Tudor aristocrats wear fancy luxury costumes, show rich and stylish palace and a powerful monarchy. Although the aristocratic costumes in the restoration period were still influenced by the French court, they added some simple oriental elements to make British costumes begin to have their own characteristics. “Glorious revolution ”, the aristocratic man to establish the legitimacy of its ruling, put on rich “masculinity ” simple clothes, and women did not get rid of the influence of rococo culture, once again return to luxury tweezers.
