In recent years, advances in magnetic properties of rare earth materials, magnetic spoke and magnetic design, as well as the optimization of the structure of magnetic separator improve the technical efficiency and economic vitality of magnetic separation. Larger magnetic separator unit throughput and improved manufacturing processes cut total costs by half in comparison to six years ago (1990). New industrial speeds may include: reprocessing of borate ore tailings, pre-enrichment of coarse-grained iron ore and magnesite, gold concentrate selection, processing of high purity quartz and heavy mineral concentrates. A comparative test of a new magnetic material and a magnetic spoke structure has been reported. Discussed the large diameter cylinder magnetic separator.
