Maxim introduces the MAX19692 12-bit, 2.3Gsps digital-to-analog converter (DAC), which directly synthesizes high frequency and wideband signals in multiple Nyquist bands, setting a new industry standard for high speed DACs. The MAX19692 directly synthesizes signals up to 1GHz in the frequency range from dc up to 2GHz. The device offers superior dynamic performance with an unscented SFDR of 68dB at an output frequency of 1200MHz (operating in the 3rd Nyquist band), which is 14dB above the SFDR of its class at this output frequency.
