中学语文教学大纲指出:“作文教学是语文教学的重要组成部分……要指导学生课外经常练笔,把所见、所闻、所思、所想随时写下来,以提高写作能力。”随着语文教学改革的逐步深入,我们更进一步地深刻认识到:搞好作文教学无论是对提高学生的素质,还是对提高学生的应试能力来说,都是至关重要的。可是要真正搞好作文教学,提高学生的写作能力,单靠间周一次的课堂写作是远远不够的,还必须按照大纲所要求的那样,开展经常性的课外读写活动。通过长期的、制度性的课外阅读和课外写作来配合完成作文教学任务。例如我们学校在最近几年就长期坚持开展“五给”的课外读写活动,有效地弥补了学生课堂读写的不足,调动了学生的读写积极性,提高了学生的写作水平,为大面积提高语文教学成绩开辟了一条新路子。

For example, our school has persisted in the past few years to carry out “five to give” extracurricular reading and writing activities, effectively make up for the lack of student literacy in the classroom, mobilize the enthusiasm of the students’ literacy, improve the students’ writing level, for a large area The improvement of Chinese language teaching has opened up a new path.
