三九天,北方最冷的冬日里,我正在浏览友人赠送的一本画家高更传《我的父亲高更》,门铃声响,快递送来了王霞寄的快件:她的四本画册和光盘。我立即赏阅,著名的《渔岛姑娘》等一幅幅作品在我眼前闪现,脑子里不断有高更痴情艺术而孤寂搏击的形象、更有董希文先生在苦难郁闷导致的癌魔重病中和命运抗争的身影。我和王霞相识已久,1954年我作为调干生插入五八届油画系学习,美术学院不大,挂满学生作业的长廊里、常年不断的各种会议上,我们或擦肩而过、或三言两语,但未曾深交。后来我又调出来参加系领导工作,因此我们既相识却又不很熟悉。但她那有着运动员健美身材、梳着两个长辫、生性活泼的青春形象以及那成名之作《海岛姑娘》的深刻印象,却始终留在我的记忆中。
