Objective: To investigate the difference of blood lipids and liver function in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) and chronic non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Methods: A total of 287 CHB patients and 130 CHB patients with NAFLD were enrolled in this study. The levels of ALT, AST, GGT, CHOL, HDL and VLDL were compared between the two groups. Results: There was no significant difference in ALT and AST between the two groups (P> 0.05). There was a significant difference in GGT (P <0.05) and CHOL, HDL and VLDL (P <0.05). Conclusion: The levels of serum lipids and glutamyl transpeptidase in CHB patients with NAFLD are significantly higher than those in CHB patients, which may be related to the aggravation of hepatic fibrosis.
