In the West African grassland region, the authors tested infants born to protected and unprotected areas using six serological tests (IFA, IHA for Plasmodium falciparum, IFA, IHA and the IFA test for platelet biphasic sedimentation and Plasmodium malaria) Made a continuous survey and comparison. The results were as follows: Immunoglobulin levels: IgG levels in unprotected infants increased from 100 to 275 IU / ml at 135 weeks of age; IgM levels rose from 125 to 250 IU / ml at the first 35 weeks of age and thereafter up to 135 weeks Little change in age. Babies in protected areas also had elevated levels of IgM and IgG before 65 weeks of age, but slightly lower than those in unprotected areas.
