该微处理机简称为UDAM(万用数字航空部件)。
The Navy’s Aerospace Systems Command is preparing to implement its Interim Standards Aviation Digital Computer (ISADC) program using a microprocessor as an input / output controller and intends to provide a small standard computer series for on-board applications. Microprocessors, developed by Actron Division of MeDonnell Douglas, are major competitors in Naval ISADC applications. The microprocessor is abbreviated as UDAM (Universal Digital Aviation Component). Unlike one of the few commercially available microprocessors on the market, Actron’s component architecture is specifically designed to be the real-time computing application needed for avionics systems. The entire microprocessor (16-bit operation) is assembled on a 2x wide SHP plug-in, measuring 2 x 5.25 x 0.3. On the second double-width SHP add-in, there are 128 words of 16-bit program memory, input / output control circuitry. These two plug-ins form a complete computer.
