I. INTRODUCTION Platinum reforming is a new and widely used method of petroleum processing. Although the main reactions it includes are known, there have also been some studies on the reaction mechanism and kinetics. However, there are many different opinions and problems, The study of the conversion mechanism and kinetics of hydrocarbons on platinum reforming catalysts is needed. Through these researches, not only many problems of reaction mechanism and kinetics itself can be clarified, but also the understanding of the role of catalyst and catalytic principle will be helpful to provide reference for the manufacture and improvement of catalyst. In recent years, China has some research on these aspects. For example, Chen Yingwu, Ding Shixin and Yang Yazhu of the Institute of Petroleum of Chinese Academy of Sciences have used the C_7 fraction of a straight-run gasoline to carry out the experimental conditions of the platinum reforming reaction.
