In our department for more than a decade, a total of 966 cases of thyroid nodules were treated, of which thyroid tumors, cysts, and nodular goiter accounted for 76.0%, and thyroid cancer accounted for 18.4%. The majority of thyroid cancer (62.7%) occurred in patients over the age of 40, and the cancer in thyroid nodules over the age of 60 accounted for more than half (29/51). If the medical history is short, the nodules continue to grow fast and hard, the activity is poor or there is swelling of the neck lymph nodes, and the long-term thyroid nodules increase rapidly in the long course, the possibility of cancer is also more than 50%. In particular, the incidence of thyroid cancer in men and solitary cold nodules was nearly 1/4.
