Yingnizhan, a new variety with good grain quality, high yield and early maturing, was developed from F_6 lines of the cross IR2061 / Xiangdong 321. Tested by the Agri Testing Center of Hubei Acad of Agri Sci, the variety has 79.5% brown rice recovery, 72.55% milled rice recovery, 7.3 mm grain length, 3.3 length and width ratio. The grain is translucent with little chalkiness. It has 18.45% amylose content, 3 alkali value, 93 mm gel consistency, and 7.5% brown rice protein content.
