Objective This article aims to investigate the changes of plasma endothelin (ETⅠ), angiotensin Ⅱ (ATⅡ) and nitric oxide (NO) in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) at different time points and its relationship with cerebral vasospasm relationship. Methods The contents of ET Ⅰ, AT Ⅱ and NO in different time periods of SAH patients were determined. Results The levels of ETⅠ, ATⅡ and NO began to increase to the highest level within 3-4 hours after the onset of SAH. The levels of ETⅠ and ATⅡ began to decrease after one week, but remained significantly higher than those of the normal control group until two weeks later. NO to normal after a week. Conclusions ETⅠ, ATⅡ, NO plays an important role in cerebral vasospasm after SAH
