In the general engineering test, especially when measured on the spot, due to the problems of resistance strain gauge sensitivity coefficient, heat output dispersion, and harsh environmental conditions, a large measurement error is often generated. In order to solve this problem, the DY-A1 electrical test extensometer was successfully developed by the Building Research Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. This extensometer combines the characteristics of a lever extensometer and a strain gage. Its frame is the transmission and the mechanism that bears the installation clamping force.
