红壤、黄壤是我国热带、亚热带地区重要的土壤资源,主要分布在长江以南的云南、贵州、广西、广东、湖南、江西、福建、浙江、台湾九省区的大部份以及四川、西藏、湖北、安徽、江苏等五省区南面的一部份,总面积203万平方公里,约占全国土地总面积的21%。 红黄壤地区,有气温高,雨量充沛,无霜期长,水热条件十分优越,适于多种作物、经济林木、果树生长的特点。但就其肥力性质来说,又明显地存在土壤酸性强,有机质和土壤养分缺乏,土质粘质,不耐干旱等不利因素。因而肥力不高,产量低。许多土壤专家主张,施用石灰中和红黄壤酸性,是改良利用和提高红黄壤肥力及农作物产量的重要途径。大量生
Red soils and yellow soils are important soil resources in tropical and subtropical regions of China. They are mainly distributed in most of the nine provinces and autonomous regions in Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Zhejiang and Taiwan south of the Yangtze River, as well as in Sichuan, Tibet, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangsu and other five provinces south of a total area of 2.03 million square kilometers, accounting for about 21% of the total land area.
