In the spring of 1994, Mike Bruno, Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank, was convinced by Lin’s speech that he acknowledged that the experience of reform in China would be of reference to both developing countries and countries in transition. Lin Yifu was one of the first Chinese scholars to summarize and introduce China’s reform economy to the world and was the most widely-watched Chinese scholar in the field of international economics. Lin Yifu believes that economics in the final analysis is “economy through the people ” knowledge. The achievements made in the past 16 years of reform have made China the third largest economy second only to the United States and Japan, but the market economic system has not yet been fully established. There are still “livelihoods and chaos” in the national economic life and their relations with This cycle of coexistence of inflation and a series of issues. There is no ready-made theory to solve the problems that have emerged in the reform. Participating in the study of the question of the reform of the old country will force scholars of Chinese economic research to constantly think about some of the most advanced issues in modern economics.
