At present, most of the relevant concrete technical standards and norms are tested with the standard test piece flexural strength, such specimens often size [150 mm × 150 mm × 600 mm (or 525,550 mm)] and quality (28 ~ 33 kg) larger, to the test operation has brought many difficulties or even potential safety problems. The feasibility of evaluating the flexural strength with a small non-standard specimen (100mm × 100mm × 300mm prism) was tentatively explored. At the same time, the part of the specimen that was broken off by this specimen was cut to a size of 100 mm Cubic specimens were evaluated for compressive strength. In addition, the strength evaluation results of small size non-standard specimens and standard specimens were comparatively analyzed and their correlations were also investigated. Twelve kinds of typical traffic engineering structural concrete with different raw materials and compounding ratio were taken as the object of study. The results show that the non-standard small-scale specimens can be used to evaluate the flexural strength and compressive strength of concrete. The correlation formulas of the two kinds of strength obtained from regression analysis are applicable to the measured data in the literature.
