Objective To analyze the correlation between prenatal IgG anti-A (B) titer and hemolytic disease of newborn with ABO in type-O pregnant women. Methods 100 pregnant women of O blood type with incompatible blood type from March 2009 to January 2013 were selected as the observation group and 100 healthy O type blood pregnant women who were examined in our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. IgG anti-A (B) titer in neonates with ABO hemolytic disease. Results In the observation group, 16 cases of hemolytic disease and 16.00% of hemolytic disease occurred in newborns, while no hemolytic disease occurred in neonates in control group. The higher the IgG anti-A (B) titer was, the higher the incidence of hemolytic disease was. Hemolytic disease and anti-A (B) titer showed a certain positive relationship. Conclusion Prenatal serum IgG anti-A (B) antibody of O-type pregnant women is closely related to hemolytic disease of ABO, and the determination of the values is helpful to the prediction of hemolytic disease in newborn.
