Objective To study the preventive and therapeutic effects of lipase on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) induced by high fat diet in rats. Methods Sixty Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal group, model group and lipase high, medium and low dose groups. The model group and the lipase group were fed with high-fat diet to form NAFLD model, lipase group also given lipase by gavage. After 12 weeks, the rats were sacrificed and the contents of TG, TC, HDL-C in the serum were measured and the TC / HDL-C values were calculated. At the same time, the liver tissue was stained with HE. Results Lipase could effectively reduce body weight and liver mass index of rats, and significantly reduce serum TG, TC content and intrahepatic fat deposition in model group rats, and improve fatty liver disease, but had no significant effect on HDL-C content. Conclusion Lipase can effectively prevent and treat NAFLD in rats.
