本教材为原国家教委委托北师大编写的义务教育“五·四”制系列教材中的一种。经过实验、修改,送国家教委中小学教材审定委员会审查已全部通过,由实验本改为试用本。一、编写教材的指导思想以义务教育课程计划和小学语文教学大纲为依据,充分体现学科的性质特点,从儿童的年龄特点出发,既注意加强思想品德教育,注意发展学生的智力和非智力因素,又注意扎扎实实进行语言文字训练,同时注重教给学生学习方法和思维方法,加强自学能力和良好学习习惯的培养。
