一我国的航行和造船技术的发展有悠久的历史并对世界的航海和造船技术的发展作出卓越的贡献。自古以来我国人民就善于造船和航行。早在汉武帝时(公元前140-87)、中印之间的海上交通业已开始,汉朝的使者、译长、就已出现于印度洋的万顷碧波之上。迟至唐代,往来于中国日本之间的海船绝大部分是中国船(唐舶),即使日本所造的船只,其造船技师和驾驶员也绝大部分是中国人(唐人)~①。不但唐时的中国船比日本船大~②,直到明末,日本船也远不能和中国船相比(详后)。
The development of our country’s navigation and shipbuilding technologies has a long history and made outstanding contributions to the world’s development of navigation and shipbuilding technologies. Since ancient times, our people are good at building ships and sailing. As early as the Han Dynasty (140-87 BC), the maritime traffic between China and India began. The envoys and translators of the Han Dynasty appeared on the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean. As late as the Tang Dynasty, the vast majority of seagoing vessels coming and going between China and Japan were Chinese ships (Tang Ship). Even ships made in Japan, most of them ship technicians and pilots were Chinese (Tang) ~ . Not only was the Chinese boat in Tang Dynasty bigger than that of Japan’s large ship, but Japanese ships were far from comparable to Chinese ships until the end of the Ming Dynasty.
