四八一○厂前身始建于1883年,是清朝末期为北洋水师配套的保障工场,曾被沙俄、日本侵占近半个世纪,被原苏联管理过10年,1955年入列新中国海军装备保障企业。工厂是国家大型二类企业,海军舰船修理、改装和建造的大型骨干企业。工厂主营船舶建造、改装和维修,兼顾机械加工、设备安装等。工厂能建造5000吨级以下的各种船舶,能修理、改装1.6万吨以下的舰船。 It was originally built in 1883 as a security workshop for the Northern Navy in the late Qing Dynasty.
